FEELINGS (2026), the debut feature film by Jeanetta Rich, starring Coco Gordon-Moore in her first screen role opposite Kim Gordon.
Bridgette embraces her "rat girl era" in Berlin — chain-smoking through galleries, amorously spazzing and rotting gloriously in parks. When she's not stalking her child's father, she's inventing new ways to disappoint herself.
FEELINGS is a dark absurdist romantic comedy following Bridgette, a young mother unravelling in the wake of heartbreak, burnout and emotional collapse. Set against the seductive backdrop of Berlin's contemporary art world, the film is an experimental exploration of feminine despair, romantic delusion and the quiet absurdity of surviving when life stops making sense.
Bridgette's life is up in smoke, but she doesn't rise — she lingers in the ashes. She haunts galleries and friends' couches, stalks her exes, chain-smokes through fleeting affairs and rots gloriously in public parks. Motherhood is present but peripheral, a ghost she both avoids and carries. Berlin is less a backdrop than an extension of her emotional state: seductive, crumbling, unknowable.
Developed while Rich was five months pregnant and shot with a cast of underground Berlin musicians, painters and non-professional actors, the film blends screwball humour, poetic monologue and vérité-style camerawork into a nonlinear, sensorial portrait of a woman in free fall. Rich writes much of her material on the day it is filmed, drawing on Hong Sangsoo's instinctive, minimalist methods.
FEELINGS is a love letter to messiness. It refuses the redemptive arc, offering vulnerability as rebellion and ruin as a kind of grace.
