Haeccity, or thisness, is the irreducible determination of a thing that makes it this particular thing. This neologism, coined by philosopher-theologian John Duns Scotus, is the subject of Tennis Daddy’s image play and symbol mixing. Tennis Daddy, a moniker of Court Space’s curator Ezequiel Olvera, toys with haeccity in relation to the Buddhist principle of Pratītyasamutpāda: that all things (dharmas, phenomena, sculptures, architecture) arise in dependence upon other things.

This cryptically melancholic assemblage on light Chiffon provides a sharp complement for an isolated mood best enjoyed by the wind of a city sprawl or vast wasteland.
